Freeport Junior High School is located on 1.75 acres in downtown Freeport, PA. Access is very good with recreational fields adjacent to the school property. The original two-story building was built in 1924 with additions in 1949 and in 1967. The school enrolls about 325 students in grades 7 through 8.
Students in grades 7 and 8 attend the Junior High and receive a comprensive education program. A health suite, cafeteria, and gymnasium are a part of the physical structure of the building.
In addition to the regular curriculum, guidance counseling services are available for the students. Students have the opportunity to join a chorus or participate in the junior high band. Interscholastic teams (football, basketball, and volleyball) as well as intramural programs are available.
